I was changed of room when I stay outside without my consent and my new room was more little and unconfortable. I dislike that situation
wireless connection was difficult to have, TV was too small to watch and difficult to manipulate between TV channels and satelite
Front desk staff where not always helpful. It depended on who was working that day. Also, the shower pressure of the shower was terrible!!
Its place, very good stuff specially the women in reception, their good english, free internet and breakfast was good
They gave me bad room view
I didn't like provided wifi connection for 3 reasons. 1) A staff says very easy but at least 5 steps were required and I lost 40 mins. 2) The cost: 2.5Euro/h. 3) wifi connection is poor. Therefore I decided to use iphone 3G instead afterwords.
Tea making facilities in room
Receptionist during check in was apathetic at best
la ubicación central, y la posibilidad de acceder a cualquier medio de transporte para moverse en la ciudad.- Tambien el check in hasta las 12 pm.
en general no tengo quejas respecto al hotel ni al personal que trabaja.
Location was good for resteraunts and tourism.trips, very close to station so not far to transport luggage. Secure entrance.
Bedding and towels cleans, most other things dirty (walls, carpet, bathroom drinking glasses, coffee making facility came with plastic glases to drink the hot drinks unsafe)
In my opinion the Marconi Hotel was well situated in the Termini district, close to the main public transport hub in Rome.Nearby to the hotel are a number of descent and afordable restaurants to enjoy a meal and a beverage.
Yes,there is a complaint that I would like to make.On arrival at the Marconi Hotel I was informed by staff that I could settle my bill in full by credit card at the end of my stay.As I was departing at the end of my holiday I produced my credit card but the hotel debit machine would not accept my credit card details. This is strange to say the least as my credit card worked in the various ATMs around Rome.I don't know if this was a genuine problem with the Marconi Hotel system or just a ploy to extract cash out of customers as opposed to having the correct debit card machine installed in the hotel.
close 2 the station Termini. centrally located.
there was such a musty stench in the hotel
Visiting tour through Roma
Single bed room very small, It was not possible to open the window during the night because in front of them there was a very diry terasse so you could easy to go in the room.
Our sole reason for choosing was its very close proximity to Roma Termini. The room was clean, but tiny and basic.
The room was spartan. The neighborhood is quite seedy. We only ate at one local restaurant, but they all looked to be of similarly low quality. It was not at all typical of Italian food and the worst meal of our two weeks there.
The location was excellent as it was close (3 minutes walking distance)to the main train station and many tour operators can be found there.
The staff were a bit cold except one lady who comes in the morning. She was great. Probably, it was the language barrier.
Roberta, very friendly, competent and efficient. She made the difference by adding extra service value.
The location is convenient, right next to termini station. The room was clean and comfortable, if basic, and the free breakfast was very good.
I didn't always feel safe in the area, it's definitely on the fringes of a dodgy area.
